The artificial lake offers a range of open-air activities such as sport fishing, windsurfing, canoeing and sailing.

Those who wish to simply enjoy the landscape and calmness of the lake can avail of the beach at Nebbiaia which is dog-friendly. For art lovers, in addition to the large Tuscan cities, the small villages nearby are worth discovering for their traditions and monuments. Scarperia e San Piero, approximately 20 km away, is a town which is famous for craftwork handed down from generation to generation, such as the production of handmade knives and professional coffee machines. Within the radius of 20 km other medieval hamlets are awaiting to be discovered: Rufina with its artistic pottery, the winery and oil estates near Marradi and Firenzuola.

Sports fanatics can visit the historic Ferrari-owned Barberino del Mugello Circuit 30 km away. Founded in 1914, the Circuit is home to the annual Italian Motorcycle Grand Prix, and winter testing for the Ferrari team and other Formula 1 teams is performed here. For those who love open-air sports, the Poggio dei Medici golf club, 25 km away, offers 18 holes and a course stretching over almost km; the possibility of private tuition is also available.

For fashion lovers, the Designer Outlet of Barberino di Mugello is 40 km away, with more than 100 multi-brand shops in which to purchase designer garments with discounts of up to 70%. Designed like an enchanting medieval village, the outlet merges passion for shopping with relaxation in the surrounding Tuscan countryside.
